Life insurance underwriting for Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms:

Life Insurance Questionnaire

Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms, (also known as AAA) involves the largest artery in your body, your aorta.  Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms can be a difficult health impairment to work with at life insurance companies.

We understand Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms from a life insurance underwriting standpoint.

We have a number of impaired risk life insurance companies that may consider you for life insurance if you have a health history of Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm.

What we do is help you get to the term life insurance or cash value life insuranec you need based on your Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm history.

  Overview:

Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms occurs when your Aorta is affected by Coronary Artery Disease - plaque builds up in your coronary arteries.  As the plaque builds up in your arteries, your arteries may narrow (stenosis) or they may dilate, resulting in an Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm.

If you have been diagnosed with an Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm, Life insurance underwriting for Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms will vary depending on the size of the aneurysm, location, treatment of the abdominal aortic aneurysm, and the time that has passed since diagnosis and treatment of the Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm.

The good news is that we know which term life insurance companies to go to based on your individual health impairment.

Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Diagnosis:

Life Insurance Questionnaire

Were you diagnosed with an Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm after having a test such as a CT Scan or an Ultrasound done to diagnose the abdominal aortic aneurysm?

Term life insurance underwriters will want to know when you were diagnosed with the abdominal aortic aneurysm, what type of test was performed to diagnose the aneurysm.

Term life insurance underwriters will also want to know the size of the abdominal aortic aneurysm, and if it was treated by surgery.

If you did have surgery on the abdominal aortic aneurysm, we will need to know the date of your surgery.

Important to Note about Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms Life Insurance:

When we speak, we'll ask you some questions related to your health history.  We do this to find out exactly what condition you have, treatment that may have taken place as well as your current health.

We do this so that we don't waste your time providing you with unrealistic term life insurance quotes.

Don't worry if you do not know all the answers, we'll tell you where to find the answers or what questions to ask your heart doctor.  We'll work with you every step of the way to help you get the life insurance you need..

Another important Note about Aneurysms Life Insurance Underwriting

If you were diagnosed with an aneurysm, and surgery has not been done on the aneurysm, it may be difficult to obtain term life insurance for you.

There is a high rate of death when an aneurysm ruptures.  If you have not had surgery, most impaired risk life insurance companies will make you wait a minimum of 2 years before they will consider you for term life insurance...and that is only if you have had multiple CT Scans or ultrasounds performed to determine that your aneurysm has not changed since diagnosis.

Typically if the aneurysm was 4.5cm or less, term life insurance may be available to you.  At 5cm or greater, most life insurance companies will decline you until after surgery.

What to Expect from Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Life Insurance Underwriting:

Life Insurance Questionnaire

If the aneurysm is greater than 4.5cm in size and has been stable for less than 2 years, term life insurance companies will decline you for life insurance.  They will reconsider you for term life insurance after you have had surgery to correct the abdominal aortic aneurysm.

If the abdominal aortic aneurysm is 4.5cm or less in size and has been stable for 2 years or more, term life insurance companies may consider your for life insurance.  Typically, it may be possible to obtain life insurance at the "standard life insurance rate plus a table rating of 150% - 200% added on to the standard life insurance rate.

If the abdominal aortic aneurysm was operated on successfully, a number of impaired risk life insurance companies may consider you for their standard life insurance rates soon after surgery.  Let us help you get the term life insurance you need.
